Who pays closing costs on a new construction home?

Often the builder. When you use the builder's lender, the builder often pays your closing costs, so you keep your savings for the move.

Closing costs are the fees to make the loan and the sale happen: the lender's fees, the title work, and money set aside for taxes and insurance.

Ask what the builder will pay before you choose a home. The deal can be different from home to home in the same community.

You are free to use any lender. Get a Loan Estimate from the builder's lender and from at least one other, and compare the whole cost.
