Can I back out of a new construction contract?

It depends on the builder's contract. Many give you a short window to cancel, and some let you out if your loan is denied. After that, backing out can cost your deposit.

In Georgia, many contracts have a due diligence period: a set number of days when you can back out for any reason.

We read the contract with you before you sign, so you know how long you have and what you could lose.
