Will you help me get my new home inspected?

Yes. Your agent tells you which inspections to get, schedules them, goes over the report with you, and works with the builder to get every item fixed.

On a home that is still being built, that can mean an inspection before the walls go up, one before closing, and one before your first-year warranty ends.

Every repair the builder agrees to goes in writing, with a date it will be done. You pay the inspector, usually a few hundred dollars.
